I’m a genius.
Of course, I say that in the most sarcastic way possible. Having missed the Playlist Mix last week due to crazy time constraints, I arrived home after a weekend away to a phone call that went something like…
Ken, are these two bags here yours?
That was all I needed. The fact is, the two bags were mine. The had gone with me at the weekend as I was performing up the country on Saturday night, taking all vocal mics, studio mics, all my small cables, headphones and laptop charger (for my currently dead laptop and inaccessible ProTools).
Being the genius that I am, I embarked on my 6:30am drive home on Monday morning and got the phone call when I hit Kilkenny informing me I had left the afore mentioned bags behind me. How I missed them I’ll never know.
Alas, it appears that not tonight, but possibly tomorrow night will be the earliest I can retrieve said bags, the bags hopefully arriving in time for the Sound System Podcast with KilkennyMusic.com.
Thankfully, there’s a bank holiday weekend ahead so I can assure you that normal transmission will in fact resume next Tuesday with show #34 at long last!
Sorry it’s been a quiet month so far.

Better late than never, the 33rd Playlist Mix has arrived with a fresh batch of tunes, all from Canada this week. Apologies again to those who were looking forward to the podcast last Tuesday but as certain situations presented themselves at the last minute last week, the podcast took a week off.
